Fusing and Slumping Techniques Series: Bubbles: Creating Imagery
Learn glass fusing techniques that are simple yet elegant and complex in appearance. Learn how to create an image or pattern . This project covers bubble placement and bubble control while creating a stunning functional or decorative square piece. This class is suitable for those with little or no glass fusing experience. Intermediate students will add a new technique to their tool box. Students may use clear or transparent tint for a beautiful look , included in class fee.
Upon completing this class, students may want to explore different techniques and projects in the series. Please request information about Open Studio or click on our home page. Clear and transparent tint glass is included in class tuition. Additional glass (iridized) may be purchased at class if desired.
Students should bring safety glasses or purchase from the instructor ($5). Please wear or bring closed toe shoes (not sandals).
Level: Introductory. Those with prior glass cutting or fusing experience will find this technique intriguing and fun. Prior glass cutting skills are not required, however.
WARNING: This technique is habit forming! Our studio director is making one in every color!
Prerequisite: no prior glass experience but those with experience will learn a wonderful new technique
