Fusion: Art and Magic of Glass Fusing and Slumping Mini Workshop

IMG_5376Fusing is the process of creating stunning  jewelry,  unique buttons, decorative glass art  and  functional bowls  by melting glass until it fuses together, resulting in beautiful pieces.  This is a process called kiln casting and all the action takes place in a kiln.  This  mini workshop is a  great way to explore the  art and magic of glass fusing.

Students learn to safely cut and assemble glass.  Pieces are fired the next day in the kiln and are available to be picked up the following week.  Out of town students?  Arrangements can be made to mail to your home.  Glass and supplies included for up to three complete pieces of jewelry or one small square bowl and one piece of jewelry.  Other projects can be substituted such as ornaments and decorative pieces and tile.    Students bring safety glasses or purchase from the instructor ($5).
