Part of a series of Fusing and Slumping intermediate classes that can be taken together or separately. Each class provides students with different techniques and projects to choose from. See schedule below for project dates.
For intermediate students ready to go beyond beginner level , 202 provides a review of the basics including COE , glass cutting using the Morton System and free hand, and kiln programs.
Projects and techniques in this series: round bowl with accent strip, round bowl with accent trim, plaid plate, custom mold making, reactive glass, vitrigraph. See class dates for specific project/techniques.
Tuition is $45 plus cost of glass purchased in class. Please bring safety glasses, scoring tool and Rubbermaid-type box with top to store extra glass. Tuition includes 2 kiln firings. If you don’t already have one, you may test drive scoring tools prior to purchase. Safety glasses available for purchase ($5).
Prerequisite: Introduction to Fusing and Slumping, experience kiln casting/fusing, or permission of the instructor.
