Introduction to Photography Basics for Young Photographers is a custom designed workshop for ages 8 and up. This two-session workshop covers all of those steps and settings that control your camera and allow you to take beautiful pictures. Or not.
Introduction to Photography Basics is a two-day class with homework! For those who want to learn to take better photos with their smartphone, camera, or digital SLR (single lens reflex), this class is for you. Discover camera techniques and tricks to make your photos much better. Topics covered include basic composition and settings you can do on your own camera. Second session we will critique our photos and have lots of time for questions and answer discussions. After two sessions, you will have a better grasp of your camera’s capabilities.
Students who want to learn more about digital manual settings should sign up for the intermediate level class.
Prerequisite: no prior experience required. Bring your camera and a pad and pencil for notes.
So, if you are new to photography, or have some experience already, you will benefit from Photography Basics. There will be time to do some shooting and an assignment for the second session.
Class size is always small to maximize student learning and fun. Maximum 5 students.
