Learn how to create a beautiful frame for your stained glass pieces with soldered channel/cane. This technique is commonly known as “leaded glass” and is suitable for all types of stained glass techniques including leaded glass, Louis Comfort Tiffany method, and Hobby Cane. As Stella is demonstrating, students bend channel then tack solder before final solder. This technique class requires students to have completed either Introduction to Stained Glass or other stained glass experience including soldering. Students will use their class project . Students who have other projects should contact the studio prior to class for instructions.
Tools , solder, wire, flux, cane/channel included in class fee. Please bring a pair of safety glasses or purchase from the studio ($5).
Prerequisite: Introduction to Stained Glass class, stained glass experience, or permission of the instructor.
